At Galway SPCA it’s not just about finding our dogs their forever homes it is also about making sure that we have found them their “perfect match”. We also believe that every homing should be special and magical 
Margaret and Whiskey were two halves that are now complete.
Margaret was desperately looking for a little companion to share her home and life with and after the sudden death of her former dog (medical) as well as some personal family losses, Margaret needed some unconditional love and company. Spotting Whiskey on our page Margaret knew he was the one and despite being out of the country she wasted no time filling in an application form and let us know that she had .
After reading Margarets application we agreed that it seemed like Whiskey and herself were perfect for one another. Margaret wasn’t due back to Ireland for another couple of weeks but she was so sure in her heart that Whiskey was the boy who would bring some much needed happiness back into her daily life, that she kept in touch with us, reminding us that Whiskey was “her boy” and she would be home soon 
Thanks to Whiskeys super foster mums Michaela and Tara, Whiskey was enjoying all the home comforts, blissfully unaware that in another country was a lady who just couldn’t wait to now get home to meet him!! Last weekend, Whiskey headed off into Connemara with his foster mums and eagerly awaiting his arrival was a very special lady called Margaret who couldn’t wait for her first cuddle
Somethings are just meant to be and sometimes we, as humans, need the love of a dog just as much as they need ours
