Trafford

Trafford arrived in April after he was found by Offaly Dog Warden Michelle. He had been straying, had a matted coat and was very scared. He spent a few weeks under the care of the team at Offaly Dog Pound and as an older boy we were only too delighted to be able to lend him a helping paw.

And what a super boy he was, full of love and seemed so grateful that we had offered to help him. Trafford became a big hit with all our staff and volunteers and he brightened up our days with his big smile and typical waggy spaniel tail.

He was soon up on our website and had quite a bit of interest but it was actually a rather “confusing (we got there in the end ??)” phonecall from a lady named Yvonne that set the wheels in motion for Traffords forever home. Yvonne’s mum Kathleen was in search of a new best friend after sadly losing her previous best friend.

We had lovely chat with the lovely Kathleen that evening who told us she would be there the next day, and she told her daughter she would be driving her !!??, to meet Trafford. It was a match made in heaven and we watched on happily as Kathleen and Trafford headed off for a little walk, chatting away to one another as they went, both returning with big smiles ?.

It has been a couple of weeks now since Trafford left and he has been renamed Jacko. We hear that he is quite the celeb in his neighbourhood and always has to time to stop and be petted by all who meet him on his walks.

We remain always grateful and humbled by those amazing people who choose to adopt our dogs and give them the love and security they truly deserve.

We wish Jacko, Kathleen, Joseph and their extended family many happy years together ❤
