Spangles

11th Sep 2020

A hound homed here in Ireland is just the best news.

Spangles was found straying with a long length of rope attached to her. She did her 5 days pound time and then became part of our Heathlawn family. The sweetest and kindest girl who, once she overcame her initial wariness and mistrust of people, couldn’t get enough of our attention and cuddles. A couple of weeks ago Maeve and Gavin came for their pre-booked appointment. They were looking for a dog to become a part of their home and lifestyle. We showed them a few but we all felt that the ‘perfect match’ just wasn’t there. And we always strive to find the perfect match for our dogs.

At that time Spangles was only starting to show her true personality and a few days later we contacted Maeve and Gavin to say “we think we have the most perfect match for you”. Another visit and straight away it was obvious that the connection was there. They felt it and we felt it.

Yesterday Spangles gave us all her usual cuddles before heading off down our drive to start her new life with her new parents. We felt a pang of sadness knowing that there would be no more daily loving from one of the gentlest of girls. But it’s what we do and already Spangles kennel has been filled by another lost soul in need. Again we start over, using our passion to help fix the broken.❣

Thank you so much Maeve and Gavin for giving Spangles her chance of being loved as a family pet. We wish you all many, many happy days together.
