Another little hound who recently headed off to his forever home is Rhubarb. Found wandering the streets of Ballinasloe, Rhubarb arrived scared, flea infested, cold and hungry. He was lucky enough to find a loving foster home with Rhyannon whilst he started his recovery. Cuddles on the sofa, trips to the beach, family days out, and in, Rhubarb settled quickly into his role as the perfect family pet.

Once we all felt he was ready for rehoming we received an application from the Richards Family. 4 years previously they had adopted little Aurora (now Skye) and reading through their application we felt they ticked all the boxes for all the things we wanted in a home for Rhubarb. A sad farewell for Rhyannon as she handed her foster baby over but she knew he was going to a home that would love and cherish him always.

It has been a couple of weeks since Rhubarb went home and we hear he has settled in amazingly well, thanks to Rhyannons foster work. Rhubarb and Skye are the best buds and having a great time playing and exploring together It is always a joy to see a Sighthound rehomed here in Ireland as the majority need to rely on our friends in other countries like the UK, Italy and Sweden) in order to find homes.

It was a team effort to bring Rhubarb full circle and we are proud to have played our part in helping yet another abandoned soul. Our thanks to Rhyannon and of course the Richards for helping Rhubarbs dreams come true.#adoptdontshop#lurcherlife#rescuedog#galwayspca
