Left to fend for herself in fields and on laneways by owners who denied all knowledge of her, Pia was so lucky to have been spotted by kind locals and finally caught. After being spotted by one of our fosterers Pia was on her way to the love and safety of Jayne and Paul whose home has welcomed so many GalwaySPCA dogs over the years and because of them, and our other foster homes, many more lives have been saved.
Pia settled in like a dream and once all her vet work was done and she had been properly assessed we began the search for her forever home. Last weekend, Pia set off on her next journey with her new mum Mary. She said her goodbyes to her foster family and happily climbed up onto Marys lap.
We are, as always, forever grateful to all the caring, wonderful people who commit to fostering as much as we are to all the equally amazing families who choose to adopt a rescue.
Teamwork …. Changing and saving the lives of those who need it the most
