Memphis, a young Gsd x girl, found herself waiting in a pound for 6 weeks for her second chance. That chance came when we spotted her sitting quietly as we arrived to take some other dogs from the same pound. Looking at her watching us load up the small dogs we just couldn’t leave her behind.

Memphis was the most amazing girl as we got to know her. She always had the biggest smile and her eagerness to please and love quickly made her a firm favourite with everyone at Heathlawn.

Gary and Jo had previously been in touch with us as they were looking to adopt another dog as a friend for their ex Madra Boy Harry, so when they spotted Memphis on our page, they contacted us straight away. With Harry and Memphis hitting it off straight away on a meet up and Jo and Gary falling for her easy ways and lovable nature, Memphis had bagged herself an amazing home.

Memphis (now Lexi) left us this week and we hear she has settled into family life already. She and Harry are best buddies and are having a great time playing together.

We couldn’t do our work if it wasnt for all those wonderful families willing to choose a rescue dog. Making their dreams of being a “forever Dog” come true.

Our grateful thanks to The Tivey Family for giving not one but two rescue dogs their second chance.
