Last Sunday it was Mash’s turn to leave Heathlawn and head off to start his new life. Mash, along with his sister Mish (since rehomed), were rescued, in November, after they were straying for over a month near Ahascragh. They were two extremely scared dogs who had to learn to trust us. Their journey from terrified strays to the sweet, fun loving dogs they became was quite a long one, but they got there.
James had wanted a dog and best friend for quite a few years now and mum, Sarah, felt the time was right to begin their search. They had seen Mash and thought he seemed the perfect fit for them. We invited them for a visit and explained that whilst Mash had come such a long way, he was still a little shy and unsure of new people and new situations. They understood and were more than happy to take things slowly.
James and Mash hit it off and we just knew that both James and Sarah would provide Mash with the love, patience and kindness he required as he learned to adapt. We hear that Mash has settled in very well and is enjoying his new life as a pampered pet. Thank you Sarah and James for choosing to adopt
