Kuster

There is no better way to start the week than with a story to warm the heart. Many of you will recognise Kuster, our beautiful golden oldie Springer boy, who was left into a pound by his previous owner. He had been neglected and had a horrendous ear infection, one of the worst we have ever seen. The pound was told he was 15/16 but both ourselves and vets found that hard to believe and whilst we agreed he may be in double figures he was like a puppy in some ways.

Having spent his life outside on a concrete pad we wanted to make sure that Kuster got the very best of homes where he could enjoy all the attention and comforts he so deserved. And that’s exactly what we did. Frank and Dorothy had sadly lost their springer to old age a little while back and when they saw Kuster they fell in love all over again. Once their homecheck was complete they arrived to meet him. It was all tail wags and butt wriggling from Kuster and beaming smiles (maybe even a small bum wriggle too?) from Frank and Dorothy when they got to meet Kuster.

It has only been a few days and Kuster is still finding his paws in his new pad but strolls to the nearby beach and parks are being enjoyed by everyone. It takes a special kind of big hearted person to adopt a rescue dog but none more so than those who adopt a senior dog. Thank you Frank and Dorothy for giving Kuster a real home, filled with comfort, love and kindness. We wish you all the happiest of times together ❤#adoptdontshop#rescuedog#springerlove#olddogsarethebestdogs
