Jessie

6th Dec 2020

It was an early goodbye yesterday morning as we prepared Jessie to leave Heathlawn. We packed her bags making sure there were lots of her favourite toys in there and waited for her new family to arrive. It has been a difficult few months for Jessie since she arrived to our sanctuary from Offaly Pound. A victim of domestic abuse which resulted in her being stabbed, leaving her with a fear of men. But with guidance, love and patience, Jessie overcame her fears as we slowly re-introduced her to our male volunteers and she started to leave her previous ordeal behind her.

Dimitria and Maria were her perfect match. Experienced with larger breeds, working from home and having an understanding of what Jessie had been through. We are as always so grateful to those who choose to adopt and give our dogs another chance at happiness. Have a wonderful new life Jessie 😍
