Last month we met this beautiful young lab boy on a road not too far from our sanctuary. Wary and unsure but we could see he was a friendly boy who needed our help.

Not chipped or neutered, with no collar and way too quick to cower every time we moved, we knew instinctively that there would be nobody coming to claim Ghost.

As we got to know Ghost, we all fell in love with his loving nature. For a boy who arrived unused to cuddles he wasn’t long learning how good they felt .

Last weekend, Jonnie, Lisa and their daughter Rebecca arrived looking for a dog to become part of their family. On meeting Ghost they all fell in love.

Yesterday Ghost waved a paw goodbye as he set off to start his new life. This time he will be a much loved family member enjoying long walks, adventures and, of course, lots of those cuddles that he now loves so much ❤️

Our job can, at times, be soul destroying. There are days when we feel the black clouds hang over us. But there is always a rainbow just waiting to appear in the shape of families willing to adopt a rescue dog 😍

Our thanks to The Morgan Family who, like so many others, restore our faith in humanity.
