Whiskers

Introducing “Whiskers”

Another victim of no pet housing policy…

Whiskers arrived to her previous home as an adult so her age is uncertain….. she made herself very much at home and enjoyed their company, especially that of the young children while always keeping the family dogs in check…

Never a fan of the indoor, she would pop in a few times a day just to make sure everything was running smoothly.. but always preferred the outdoors…

3.5 years on.. her owner has to move and like so many just cant find any accommodation that will allow Whiskers (and younger cat Felix) to come too…
Leaving her behind is also not an option, so coming into the cattery is the only option left…

So yesterday Whiskers was placed in our carrier and along with 6month old “brother” Felix was taken away from the family and the home she had chosen to spend her life with…

We dread what the next few weeks will bring for whiskers…
Already she is stressed.. confinment was never something she enjoyed and being away from her family will take its toll…
Her appetite is dwindling and eventually her health will suffer…

We are hoping that we can find a very special family that will open their home to Whiskers and allow her to continue living the way she prefers…

Outdoors with indoor access..
Possibly With children she can supervise and persuade to sneak her snacks from the fridge…
And possibly even a dog or two to boss around…

Does that home exist?

For whiskers sake we really hope so….
