When Yates, our young Springer boy arrived he was so afraid that he had to be carried. As we watched him throughout the afternoon we could see him wagging his tail at the other dogs and that there was a ‘light’ in his eyes. We knew that he just wanted company so we took him out with two other new arrivals to see what he would do and the transformation was instant.
The fear vanished as Yates ran around our field with his tail wagging, a smile on his face and running back to us for cuddles. For some dogs, company of their own kind is vital.
For now Yates will continue to be assessed but stay tuned for updates.
Yates’ Microchip number is available upon request.
