Wallace, arrived with his friend Gromit, two dogs who had been left to their own devices over the years.
Wallace and Gromit were surrendered into a pound before arriving at Heathlawn and it was obvious that neither had ever been on a lead before. Poor Wallace, his coat was full of knots and matted fur but after a few days Wallace gave in and allowed us to touch him and cut away some of his matted coat.
Our hardworking team of staff and volunteers are putting in the time, love and patience to show both of these boys that the world can be a happy and safe place. For now, they are happy to sniff around and watch the comings and goings at the sanctuary during the day from the safety of our front garden.
Wallace is being assessed and is not yet ready to be rehomed.
