Roseau is a four and a half year old Harrier Foxhound girl. She is very sweet natured and can be a little shy at first but once she gets to know you she is very sweet, kind, gentle and loving. She has not seen much of life but she is willing to learn. She gets on well with other dogs, once she has met them and gotten to know them. She is often the ‘leader’ within her big circle of GSPCA doggie friends.
Being a hound, she is led by her nose so she loves her walks and sniffing. She doesn’t need tonnes of exercise but she will need daily exercise as she is slightly overweight. She will need a fully secure walled garden or very secure fencing so that her nose can’t take her on any adventures. Roseau loves being with people and could live with respectful older children but she cannot live with cats. She could be left alone for a few hours.
Roseau is a real dote who loves to be involved with people. She thoroughly enjoys her walks, playing and getting out and about on trips. She has gained some weight sitting in kennels so it’s time to build up her fitness and get her active and involved in life in a home. Like all dogs that are looking for a second chance, she needs people who are kind and understanding as life in a home will be a new world for her. But she is ready and willing to learn.
