Meadows is a one year old small collie girl who came to us from the farm that she was born on. Meadows had no idea how to walk on a lead and, for the first week, refused to come anywhere near us.
She has come a long way and in the last few weeks she now walks on a lead with her best friend Parnell. She also comes over for a cuddle and ear rubs and there isn’t a bad bone in her body. She is still shy and a little unsure, when faced with new things, so we feel a home with a confident dog would help her greatly.
As Meadows has seen very little of life a rural setting would probably suit her best and she will also need time, patience and understanding as she learns to live within a family home. Meadows loves to run free on our fields so will need a home that can keep her active and her collie mind stimulated. We are also looking for a home where there are no very small children as Meadows may find them a little too much for her sometimes shy nature.
She is a lovely, sweet girl who still has much to learn but she deserves her chance too. Some dogs just need a little more of your time and understanding until they reach their true potential to blossom into the wonderful dogs we know they are.
Meadows’ microchip number is available upon request. Please contact Emma on 087 276 5690 if you would like to hear more about Meadows.
