Its been a few days now since Koko and Lola arrived to our sanctuary as two very scared dogs. Unused to a busy, noisy environment both dogs went into fear mode hiding outside under their beds, trembling and letting us know they needed some space to process the changes in their lives since being surrendered due to their owners ill health.
A few days on and what a difference …
After months of not getting the exercise they needed, Koko and Lola are most certainly got rid of some of that pent up energy. They are racing around our fields, chasing balls, covering us with sloppy kisses and yesterday took a trip out to Flowerhill Equestrian Centre to enjoy some fun time on the cross country course and the river.
A little nervous to start but it wasn’t long before they were both dragging their humans along, noses to the ground and in full “lets go mode”
Koko and Lola still have some training to do and we will do our best to keep this pair together. They are most definitely going to need a home that can give them the exercise and stimulation they are going to need with lots of secure open space.
Two lovely, affectionate, beautiful dogs except when your trying to get a harness on those constant wriggly bums
