Gideon

Gideon, our 10/12 month old little whippet/Saluki boy, arrived completely terrified and with a badly broken hind leg. One operation later, followed by a couple of months of rehabilitation, and Gideon has fully recovered. He is doing so well that, at the weekend, he had his first off-lead run in our back field. It is always a special moment to witness the joy and exhilaration of that new found freedom, running pain free and in the knowledge that you are safe and loved.

We feel that little Gideon is ready to start his search for his forever home:-
*Gideon is the sweetest natured boy but one who has seen very little of the outside world so he will be looking for a home with family who will be kind, loving and patient as he tentatively sets his paws into new places and situations
*For this reason we feel that Gideon would benefit greatly in a home with an existing dog. A dog that will be kind and use their own wisdom, love and confidence to help Gideon adjust. He would also benefit from having his humans at home as much as possible throughout the day
*Gideon walks well on a lead/harness but is nervous of cars, which is understandable after his accident, so a more rural home would suit him best where he can learn at his pace to lose that slight fear
*Gideon is really just a pup and has lots of puppy like antics. He loves to play and investigate. He is always happy and looking for some fun.

In true Sighthound style he also loves to chill and relax. Gideon can be a little unsure when meeting new people or when asked to do something new but within a couple of minutes he forgets his shyness and wants to be your friend. He really is a super little boy who now deserves a 5 home to call his own. One where he will continue to grow in confidence and always feel safe and oh so loved.

For those who have never considered a Sighthound (Greyhounds Lurchers, Salukis, Whippets) this maybe the time to open up your hearts and home to one of the most amazing, gentle and fun breeds out there. We can promise you that you won’t be disappointed ❤️
