The “unofficial” Ballinasloe Fair 2021 has been and gone but sadly not without its victims. When the fair was over we received a call about a pup, left just outside the Fairgreen, tied to railings and crying. He had been there for quite a while and was cold, hungry and scared.
Lando is a 5.5 month old Whippet boy (he was chipped) and had been sold at the fair earlier that day. We knew straight away there was something a little off with Lando and, with no available space, Lando went home for the night with one of team, where he could be monitored. He is the sweetest little boy but seemed vacant and distant and at times his back legs would get left behind as he trotted around. It’s hard to pinpoint the reason and after seeing a vet the next day we are none the wiser.
Lando sleeps a lot but when he is awake he likes to run around and play as any normal pup does yet there’s just that little something that isn’t normal about his behaviour or actions. He is a happy, sweet natured boy who knows how to love and is very fond of cuddles. His issue may be neurological so we are continuing to monitor his progress.
While Lando is in temporary foster, with one of our team, he has to spend his days alone at our sanctuary so we are looking for a foster home with:-
*Human company for most of the day
*Another kind and gentle dog who will keep him company and encourage him to play and go for little walks
*Lando is cat friendly
*Lando needs a fully secure garden
*Lando could live with slightly older children
He really isn’t any trouble and has such a brave, loving heart. If you can you help Lando and offer to foster him please complete an online Dog Foster Application Form
