Curry

Curry, along with her ears, was found abandoned in a layby before Christmas and she is still in her foster home and hoping to catch the eye of a forever family.

*Curry is now approx 4/4.5 months old

*Curry is, at a guess, a Lurcher x Possibly with a Shepherd

*Curry is in foster with 2 small dogs who she loves but, in true puppy style, can be a tad annoying with her puppy play due to lots of teeth, play biting and not understanding that no is no or choosing to ignore it!! If Curry is to live with another dog it must be one willing to be playful, patient and not afraid to lay down some ground rules.

*Curry walks well on a lead and is starting to venture further afield on her walks and enjoying new adventures

*Curry travels well in the car

*Curry is doing well with her toilet training

*Curry absolutely loves people and her favourite hobby is to find a lap to climb onto for a nap. She is extremely affectionate and will need humans at home all day due to her young age as she needs to have company

*Curry is still a baby and is at that puppy stage where she is teething so most things go into her mouth and can that include human fingers and toes and so we feel that Curry is best suited to older children, but she is learning and getting better

Currys foster family say she really is the sweetest, kindest, most affectionate girl who is very quick to pick up new things and enjoys learning. She will be a medium to large size dog when fully grown.

A fully secure garden is required and a indoor home only. No outdoor sheds, kennels, runs or electric collars.

Curry is fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be spayed at a later date as per our rehoming contract.

In compliance with DAFM Legislation, the GalwaySPCA unique certificate number is GPT200022C.

Curry’s Microchip number can be provided on request.

January 2024

Curry was found back in the middle of December in a lay by by two passing members of the public, underweight, starving, thirsty, cold and scared. Thankfully Curry found a lovely foster home, in time for Christmas, and headed home with one of our young volunteers, Eve. Curry is in foster with 2 small dogs, 2 cats and teenagers.

Approximately 13 weeks old and growing fast, Curry has found her paws and cheekiness. Her foster family say that Curry is the most loving and affectionate girl who loves snuggling up close to her humans, preferably on their lap or across their feet. When awake, Curry is a typical young, lively and, at times, boisterous puppy who wants to play, chew and cause havoc as all good healthy pups should! 🤣

She can be a little much in play, at times, for the resident Chihuahua who does her best to keep cheeky Curry in check but is not always successful, however we do hear that the 2 cats have no problems putting manners on her and Curry is clever enough to know not to mess with them!!🤣 She is going through that delightful puppy stage of nipping on any part of your body that is within reach which for small children (and adults) can be somewhat sore !

Curry walks well on the lead, is very nearly housetrained, travels well in the car and loves meeting new people and dogs.

Curry will be looking for a home where there is someone at home all day due to her young age.

She can be homed with other dogs though would be overbearing for very old or quiet dogs.

Older children in the home would probably suit best.

Curry can live with cats.

Curry will be lurcher sized, when fully grown, and, as with all our rehomings, needs a fully secure garden and an indoor home only at all times (no sheds, outdoor kennels)
