CeeCee

CeeCee is now nearly 4 months in our care after we found her abandoned on our sanctuary laneway, with another female GSD, severely underweight and dehydrated. While we knew where both girls had come from and who had dumped them, without concrete evidence we couldn’t prove it. But we knew….

And knowing the life that they had previously lived it came as no surprise that neither girl had any boundaries or lead training nor did they know how to behave around other dogs, especially small dogs in CeeCees case. That didn’t make CeeCee a “bad dog” or an “aggressive dog” it meant that we had to start with the very basics and build up her trust in us, so the fear she felt inside (but didn’t show outwardly except by reacting) could be slowly erased.

From the very start CeeCee had the biggest, most forgiving, loving heart and she loves people of all sizes. She has all the amazing qualities that Shepherds possess. She is intelligent, loving, loyal and would do anything for her human. CeeCee has been doing a lot of work and training over the last 5 weeks and has come on so well. The best part is that she loves to work her mind and loves being praised and rewarded.

CeeCee is 2.5 years old and is a big favourite with all the staff and volunteers at Heathlawn. She is looking for a home where she can be the only dog in the home for now whilst she continues to learn and progress with her training. A home who are willing to continue to let CeeCee know she is now safe and loved because they are now a team.

She is just the biggest cuddle bug, happy to train, chill and play. CeeCee cannot live with cats. She needs a fully secure garden and to live indoors as part of the family.
