It’s hard to believe that this 8/10 week old puppy was found wandering alone, on a busy street, in the middle of a town. Plenty of people ignored her as she went up and down, obviously alone, scared and confused. But thankfully one kind lady stopped, coaxed her over and bought her home for the night. She fed her and kept her safe until she could contact us. Once again another dog who wasn’t chipped or wearing a collar. Nobody came looking for her. There is no excuse, yet we have heard every excuse going, over the years. It is time we faced facts and realise that there are still so many people who simply don’t care enough. Well, we do!!
Banoffee has now done her required “stray time”, has been chipped and started her vaccinations. Banoffee deserved better than this and this time around we will make sure she gets it. Banoffee is possibly a Collie/Husky mix. She is a fiesty young girl, with a mind of her own and she isn’t shy about letting you know that she likes to do things her way!! Whilst she is a cute bundle of gorgeous fluff right now, we would like to remind people that she will grow, she will chew, she will toilet wherever she chooses and she will shed hair!
*A home with fully secure high fencing, as we need to look to the future when she is an adult dog
*A home with someone around all day to see her through that all important first year where she will need to be taught socialisation and more
*Going forward towards adulthood, Banoffee will require more exercise and mental stimulation as she is the mix of two energetic, intelligent breeds who are also loyal and loving
*Banoffee is already displaying signs of being quite bossy and dominant in play with her friends which is something potential adopters should bear in mind if they already have a dog. But, saying that, she is also sweet, loving and very entertaining though we have no doubt that she will test the patience of a saint, as she heads through her puppy and teenage stages
Remember, a dog is for life, through the ups and downs and chaos they may bring!! But they will also bring so much love, laughter and light.
